Restorative listening: Experiences of racism in the criminal justice system
Following the death of George Floyd and subsequent anti-racism protests in the US and around the world, Why me? have organised a “restorative listening forum” for BAME people to share their experiences of racism from the police and criminal justice system.
The forum will be based on restorative principles, and will give people a space to express the harm that racism in the police and justice system have caused them. The meeting will be recorded and passed on to relevant policy makers for their information.
If you have experienced racism from the police and justice system – whatever form this has taken – we would love to have you at this forum, where we can assure you you will be listened to and taken seriously.
