Can you help support us?
This is a blog by our Fundraising Officer Lucy Harris.

Being a victim of crime is traumatising and life-changing, and the winter period can be an incredibly challenging time for victims, but Restorative Justice provides a lifeline.
You can help provide this crucial lifeline by supporting Why me? to help more people who have been affected by crime to heal and recover. Our ambassadors’ stories are powerful illustrations of the impact that Restorative Justice can have.
“In that moment I instantly got my power back, I got my life back. For me it was absolutely life changing. I came out and thought, this is the first day of the rest of my life.” Lucy Fry, Why me? ambassador
We understand that this may be a difficult time of year, and are therefore asking you to support us through Easyfundraising and Amazon Smile. By signing up to support us via these platforms, you can collect donations for Why me? when you buy gifts, decorations, your festive food shopping or anything else, with thousands of big-name brands!
Please sign up to Why me?’s Easyfundraising page and join for free. Every time you shop online, go to Easyfundraising first to find the site you want and start shopping. Or add the handy Donation Reminder. After you’ve checked out, the retailer will make a donation to Why me? at no extra cost to you!
Please sign up to Amazon Smile and select ‘Why me? UK’ as your charity. Every time you shop on Amazon, start your shopping at the Amazon Smile website, and for every purchase you make, we will receive a 0.5% donation, at no extra cost to you!
Your donations will help give victims like Lucy a voice, empowering them to escape from the cycle of trauma often caused by crime, and help people who have committed crimes to see the consequences of their actions, allowing them to move on and contribute to their communities in a meaningful way.
Thank you for your support.
