Why me? launches Restorative Friends, a new regular giving scheme

Today on the International Day of Charity, we are delighted to be launching Restorative Friends, a new regular giving opportunity for our amazing community to show their support for Why me?, our vision and work, helping us to build a sustainable base for our future.
Building a sustainable future for Why me?
Why me? has been in existence for just over 15 years, an incredible achievement by all those involved to date. We have an impressive legacy and track record in fundraising, with the majority of our income coming from trusts and grant giving organisations, many of whom who have supported us for years – again testament to the brilliant relationship building of previous Why me? leaders. This sustained, multi-year support has enabled us to deliver pioneering projects and shift the national conversation around Restorative Justice. However, the funding landscape is changing rapidly. The charity sector faces immense pressure, and trusts and foundations are increasingly oversubscribed, with many reviewing their strategies or closing their grant programs altogether.
It has become vital at Why me? to diversify our income sources, and the launch of our Restorative Friend scheme is part of our wider planning for a sustainable future.
